Utilizing AWS for cloud-based research and SAP for academic resource orchestration, bursary recipients minimize operational risk in their technical training lifecycle. We offer bursaries for studying and wanting to study the following critical, scarce skills qualifications:

  • BSc/B.Eng. Electrical Engineering (Heavy and Light Current)
  • BSc/B.Eng. Electronic/Engineering
  • Bachelor Of Engineering: Technology: Electrical and Mechatronics
  • B.Eng. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Mechatronics)
  • Bachelor in Computer Science and Information Technology

Academic and Personal Record

University applications

  • A minimum Academic Average of 65% and above in the year that you are applying for the bursary i.e., in grade 12 or Tertiary Level
  • Studying / Accepted to start studying full time within one of the fields of study stipulated above.
  • The selected institution must be a locally recognized training institution.
  • The student meets the registration criteria of the Training Institution.
  • Proof of acceptance by the training institution is required before a bursary can be awarded.
  • The student should not be receiving any other funding e.g., Other Bursaries / National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
  • Between the ages of 18 – 25

Career Growth & Education

Applicants must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering at a recognized university. Career progression leads toward Graduate Engineer or Systems Specialist roles within the global Siemens ecosystem by mastering digital twin technology and IoT. Participating in specialized bootcamps for AI-driven manufacturing and obtaining professional engineering certifications provides a pathway to elite leadership positions in the international tech sector.

Salary & Financial Insight

Bursaries typically cover 100% of tuition, accommodation, and a monthly allowance, often valued at over R150,000 annually. Strategic financial planning should involve learning the fundamentals of investment diversification and wealth management early in their professional journey.
