Smart Metering Technician

• Our client is looking for a highly skilled and solutions-oriented Technician to join their team in Sandton, Johannesburg.
• The successful candidate will be tasked with delivering technical support, resolving issues, optimising processes and reducing operational errors.
• This position demands a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills who can handle diverse technical responsibilities across the organisation.
• The successful candidate needs to come with 4 years hands – on practical experience.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric.
• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• Vehicle and valid Driver’s License.
• Essential: Previous experience in Smart Metering including billing & tariff setup.
• Background in Electrical or Engineering disciplines.
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience in a technical role.
• IT knowledge or experience is a plus.
• Strong project management skills are highly desirable.
• Ability to quickly adapt and assist with various technical tasks across departments.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-driven with the capability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 Roles and Responsibilities:

• Address technical challenges and provide practical, effective solutions.
• Enhance process efficiency and minimise errors through streamlining efforts.
• Support various departments and projects requiring technical expertise.
• Diagnose and fix hardware, software or system-related issues.
• Participate in project planning and execution as needed.
