- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Post-matric qualification or equivalent (preferably in Humanities, social sciences, and/or Business Sciences)
- Demonstrable Project Management and implementation skills and knowledge
- Proficient in English and any other of the 11 official languages
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience in the development space, including local economic development, resource mobilization, government and non-government stakeholder relations, entrepreneurship, management, and research.
- Computer literacy and good report-writing skills
- Code 08 driver’s license
- South African Citizenship
- Clear Criminal Record
Responsibilities
- Assist Gold One Modder East Operations with the implementation of the Social and Labour Plan.
- Provide support in community development strategy formulation and implementation, stakeholder engagement and resource mobilization.
- Support LED projects by linking them with other potential donors
- Report on all matters of Enterprise Development, Community liaison, community development
- Assist in monitoring of Employment Equity performance across departments and be able to draw and analyse quarterly reports.
- Ensure sustainable local economic development projects.
- Conduct research and research related activities when so required
- Must be able to work independently, and operate at departmental level
- Conduct all work according to required standards and specifications
- Adhere to MHSA standards & Gold1’s safety motto : “Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely”
