Responsibilities
- Edit short-form, social-first video content optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms.
- Capture basic, behind-the-camera social content as needed (handheld, mobile, or lightweight setups).
- Collaborate with creatives, strategists, and animators to craft culturally relevant, trend-aware content.
- Source and assemble footage, sound, and graphics into fast-paced, engaging social edits.
- Cut and adapt existing material into platform-specific formats and lengths.
- Keep up with platform trends, editing styles, and viral content mechanics.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ensure all output is on-brand, on-brief, and creatively sharp.
Requirements
- 3–6 years’ experience as a video editor, preferably focused on short-form or social content.
- Strong understanding of interest-based content and platform-specific storytelling.
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects and Photoshop a plus).
- Skilled in editing fast-turnaround, culturally relevant content for social feeds.
- Ability to shoot short-form, social-style content with a smartphone or compact camera.
- Keen awareness of social trends, visual styles, and audience behavior.
- Organized, reliable, and comfortable working across multiple time zones.
- A collaborative mindset with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, remote creative environments.
Bonus:
- Experience editing content for brands or creators with a strong social presence.
- Basic motion graphics or color-grading experience.
