Special Effects Media South Africa (SEM SA) is looking for a talented Social media partner manager to lead the management of a bespoke set of brand social media accounts in incredibly exciting genres. You will be responsible for coordinating with content teams, managing posts and community managers as well as building bespoke and cutting edge social media strategies. 
  • As a Social media partner manager, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should be strong in crafting social media strategies as well as leading the execution of them with your team.
  • Special Effects Media is on the cutting edge of digital marketing working primarily in the YouTube and online video space for the last 7 years and are looking for a new role in the business to be fulfilled by YOU.

Day-To-Day Activities Would Include:

  • Building social media strategies and proposals for your suite of clients.
  • Executing social media strategies with the assistance of a digital content manager, designer, copywriter, community manager and paid media specialist.
  • Developing content calendars and decks.
  • Working with your community managers to ensure that content is scheduled, live and the community is tended to.
  • Managing your content team (copywriter and content creative) to ensure that all assets are produced and delivered as per brief and strategy. 
  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences.
  • Build and present monthly reports to reflect on strategy and content performance for each brand and platform. 
  • Experience in managing: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok and Instagram. YouTube is a bonus. 
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout).
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.

Requirements:

  • BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field
  • 2-3 Years of proven work experience as a Social media manager or digital strategist
  • Hands on experience in content management
  • Copywriting skills 
  • Super organised and reliable/autonomous
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical and multitasking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Highly organised.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace.
