About The Role

• We are looking for a Front-End Software Engineer to join a cross-functional delivery team dedicated to the full software development lifecycle — from concept and development through to deployment and ongoing operation of each product.
• At this level, the Software Engineer plays an integral role in designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software systems and applications in line with defined specifications and established engineering standards. You will translate requirements from business stakeholders or technical analysts and actively collaborate with the delivery team in design discussions and problem-solving.
• As a Front-End Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building solutions that create exceptional client experiences across mobile and web applications. This includes translating design mockups into interactive, high-quality, and user-friendly interfaces, with a strong focus on intuitive and accessible user experiences.

• Proven experience in React and modern front-end frameworks
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Solid understanding of responsive design and web performance principles
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing

Education (Minimum)

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

Education (Ideal or Preferred)

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology

Knowledge and Experience

Experience:

• 3+ years’ proven experience in front-end software development, project delivery and implementation (in relevant development technologies/language)
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks and technologies.

Knowledge: 

• IT systems development processes (SDLC)
• Application development

• Responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
• Browser compatibility issues and performance optimisation.
