Solutions Architect needed at Datacentrix

• We are seeking a seasoned Solutions Architect to join our team on a 24-month fixed-term contract at a leading financial services institution. This role is central to the enterprise-wide rollout of the OpenText EDRMS Phase 2 programme, part of a multi-year initiative driven by the rapid growth of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) projects. You will be responsible for conducting end-to-end assessments of architectural designs, ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose, scalable, and aligned with the organisation’s approved architecture guidelines, technology ecosystem, and I&T strategy. This is a unique opportunity to shape a high-impact programme within a dynamic IT environment.

Requirements

• A tertiary qualification (NQF 6), degree (NQF 7) or Honours degree (NQF 8) in the field of specialisation OR equivalent industry-specific certifications
• A minimum of five years’ experience in application analysis/architecture and/or design and/or enterprise architecture and/or solutions architecture
• A postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage
• A formal architecture certification (e.g. TOGAF, BIZBOK) will be an added advantage

Responsibilities

• Develop the solution architecture for the EDRMS Open Text Phase 2 Rollout programme within the Enterprise Information Management Division and the guide the end-to-end delivery of solutions
• Contribute to the architectural “as-is” (baseline) and “to be” (target) models for various domains (business, data, application and technology) to create an overall solutions architecture and roadmap with the supporting transition architectures
• Ensure alignment between the enterprise architecture, related solution architectures, architecture principles, and information and communications technology (ICT) standards to ensure standardisation and reduce risk
• Ensure that the solutions meet the business requirements while complying to standards and principles, traceability to enterprise reference models, and alignment with the target enterprise architecture vision
• Ensure that proposed solutions are peer reviewed by EA division and presented for various forums for approval
• Take accountability for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of the solutions for the business, and ensure that solutions implemented match the architectural designs (implementation governance)
