Spec: Pre Sales (Tech Architecture) needed at BCX

Core Description

• Provide technical and client specific solution assistance to the BCX/ CCO Sales team, through investigation, consultation and a thorough understanding of the client’s requirements which is achieved through co-operation and interaction with the Client, Sales, Product Management and Technical Architecture Divisions.
• Play a key role developing new business and take full responsibility for the full solution response of proposal preparation.

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

• Assist Sales team to identify sales opportunities and interpret and translate business requirements into an ICT Service solution.
• Support Sales team in responding to new business opportunities and evaluate proposed solution components to ensure consistency.
• Create proposal addressing Business Requirement Specification and define an ICT Services solution.
• Manage, coordinate, and facilitate the solution design process.
• Coordinate activities between Services and Sales to facilitate solution development.
• Schedule and facilitate solution development workshops.
• Co-ordinate, manage and schedule dates and timing of the proposal and conduct progress meetings.
• Participate in pricing model development and providing solutions. Perform detail business risk assessments.
• Take responsibility for the end-to-end ownership of solution, ensuring favourable and repeatable business.

Minimum Qualifications

• NQF 6: 3 year Degree/ Diploma/ National Diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science
• Additional Education -Preferred /Advantage

Experience

• 5 years’ experience in a Presales technical architecture or similar technical role.
• Hands-on or technical design experience with various technologies and technology vendors (computing, networks, data storage and virtualisation).

OR

• 7 years’ experience in a Presales technical architecture or similar technical role.
• Hands-on or technical design experience with various technologies and technology vendors (computing, networks, data storage and virtualisation).

Certifications

• Desirable – OEM Sales Accreditations relevant to position
• Professional Memberships in Relevant Industry
