Overview

• To provide specialist instrumentation and automation support by installing, calibrating, maintaining and troubleshooting control systems and production equipment to minimise downtime and improve plant reliability.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, maintain and repair instrumentation, sensors, transmitters, control valves, and automated equipment.
• Perform instrumentation, electrical and control-system fault-finding and troubleshooting to minimize production downtime.
• Programme, configure, maintain and troubleshoot PLC systems.
• Add, update and maintain SCADA interfaces and ensure accurate monitoring, alarms, and controls.
• Test and commission instrumentation and control systems following installations, repairs or modifications.
• Lead and support the maintenance team while ensuring compliance with safety, food safetyand maintenance standards.

Qualifications

• N3/N4 or equivalent technical qualification.
• Relevant Instrumentation trade qualification.
• Experience in instrumentation and automation within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Practical experience with PLCs, SCADA, sensors, transmitters, control loops and variable-speed drives.
• Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Team leadership or supervisory experience.
