Job Summary
- Responsible for identifying and executing on continuous improvement opportunities, reporting and updating Insights and Intelligence systems.
- Oversees and conducts the conversion of data into insights that will lead to informed business decisions.
- Works directly with stakeholders within the assigned departments. The MI/BI Specilaist will have to handle multiple simultaneous tasks, prioritize work, and remain functional under pressure, and aggressive timelines.
- Skilled in data analysis and programming, assisting the business to use the data they collect to understand trends, solve business problems, and monitor metrics.
- Assist with determining the data the company needs, structuring it in an appropriate format, analyzing the data using queries, and creating reports and visualizations for company decision-makers.
- To manipulate and prepare data for evaluation and reporting purposes, build data marts for different business users to view and use for analysis and decision making.
- To support and enhance intellectual business performance modelling and create measures that drive an optimal value management strategy.
- To enhance information in order to support optimal decision making.

Experience

2 – 5+ years working in BI, MI, customer analytics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field:
- Data Analytics / Data Science
- Business Analytics
- Computer Science
- Statistics / Mathematics
Skills
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce, Zendesk)
- SAS base, SAS Enterprise Guide,
- Strong SQL (querying, joins, CTEs, window functions)
- Data modeling fundamentals (facts, dimensions, relationships)
- ETL/ELT knowledge (Informatica, SSIS, dbt, or similar)
- Statistical analysis (correlations, trends, segmentation)
- Advanced Excel (Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Pivot, pivot tables, macros)
BI / Dashboarding Tools
- Power BI
- Salesforce
- Tableau (calculated fields, LOD expressions)
Data Management
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts
- Working with structured & semi-structured data (CSV, JSON, APIs)
- Data validation and quality assurance
Optional / Advanced Skills
- Machine learning basics (propensity models, clustering)
- Using AI tools (Automating repetitive reporting tasks using AI agents / Using AI to identify anomalies, pattern changes, and sentiment shifts automatically.)
- Natural Language Processing (NLP) skills – Text / sentiment analysis (NPS verbatims, survey comments, chats, emails).
- Understands CX metrics and operational drivers
Key Performance areas
- Modelling – Translate and develop business requirements into a technical specification
- Data source integration – Develop end-to-end data source integration to inform models required to support in-depth customer behavioural analysis and predictions.
- MI / BI Reporting – Development of sustainable BI solutions to address business needs and identify opportunities to improve processes and strategies with technology solutions and identify development needs in order to improve and streamline operations.
- Analytical Insights and Trending – Perform data manipulation and analytical techniques to provide analytical insights and recommendations that support decision making to the business as and when required.
- Deep Dive Analytics – Analyse the customer experience data and trends throughout the life cycle of the customer using SAS base, SAS Enterprise Guide, Advanced Excel, SQL, Visualisation tools and any tool that may be identified for analysis from time to time.
- Validation & Research – Continuously explore ways to enhance business performance by analysing process efficiency drivers, key indicators, relationships and trends.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Management
- Build and maintain relationships within Customer Care and relevant business units by creating an understanding of their requirements and gather feedback.
- Liaise with stakeholders and keep them updated on progress of the development of requirements.
- Communicate data driven insights to business analyst and/or business stakeholders. Responds timeously and professionally to ad hoc business requests

- Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: BMI – Business Management and Informatics
