Requirements

• Trade Test for Artisans
• 3 - 5 years post apprenticeship relevant experience required
• Code B/EB Driver’s License
• Specialist knowledge of PABX/PAX telephone systems or cable jointing/fibre splicing or hi-site/microwave infrastructure.
• A working knowledge of OHS regulations.
• Ability to operate sophisticated test equipment.
• High degree of accuracy w.r.t. operation of splicing and jointing equipment
• Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office

Key Performance Areas

• Interprets and coordinates specific pre-work/site requirements with regards to installation, repairs and planned and predictive maintenance sequences and guides the activities of personnel.
• Completes internal transactional documentation (e.g. time sheets, log sheet, progress and productivity field report, etc.) and related forms (vehicle checklist).
• Performs specific tasks associated with the operation of specialized vehicles and equipment (compressor, trucks, etc.) during electrical installation, repair and maintenance activities.
• Coordinates activities associated with the construction and installation of communication networks.
• Coordinates activities and sequences associated with routine maintenance of communication infrastructure PAX and PABX cable networks, communications consoles and intercom cable systems
