Requirements :

• Qualification that allows registration with SANC as Staff Nurse (Enrolled Nurse). Current SANC license to practice (2026). Demonstrate elementary understanding of nursing legislation and related legal and ethical nursing practices.
• Willingness to work overtime, shifts, weekends and public holidays. Willingness to rotate within all wards/departments within the hospital according to operational needs. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and support the managers to ensure quality nursing care

Duties :

• Perform a basic clinical nursing practice in accordance with the scope of practice and nursing standards. Promote quality of basic nursing care as directed by the professional scope of practice and standards.
• Preparation of patients for diagnostic and surgical procedures. Effective utilization of material resources. Order stock and equipment in a cost-effective manner; Report loss or damage immediately Demonstrate basic communication with patients, supervisors and other clinicians. Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure good nursing care. Work effectively, cooperatively and amicably with people of diverse intellectual, cultural, racial or religious differences.
• Display a concern for patients, promoting and advocating elementary care including awareness and willingness to respond to patients’ needs, requirements and expectations (Batho-Pele). Relieve in other wards when necessary. Must be willing to workday and night shifts, and escort patients to other facilities for continuity of quality care.
