Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the setup and breakdown of all stage equipment and props for performances
• Operate lighting, sound, and special effects during performances
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on stage equipment as needed
• Assist in the loading and unloading of equipment during port stops
• Work closely with the Stage Manager to ensure smooth transitions between performances
• Communicate effectively with other crew members to ensure the safety and success of each performance
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures at all times
• Maintain a clean and organized backstage area
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Stage Manager or other superiors

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Stagehand in a live performance setting
• Knowledge of lighting, sound, and special effects equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as needed
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
• Willingness to travel and work on a cruise ship for extended periods of time
• Basic understanding of technical theater concepts and terminology
• High school diploma or equivalent, technical theater training is a plus
