Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide stock control staff to ensure adherence to procedures and quality standards.
- Create and manage work schedules, providing training and support to team members.
- Monitor team performance and address issues promptly.
- Oversee receiving processes, including inspecting shipments and maintaining accurate records.
- Ensure all goods are accurately recorded in inventory systems and resolve any discrepancies.
- Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Identify inefficiencies in stock control procedures and implement solutions to enhance operations
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and warehouse teams to align stock levels with business needs.
- Communicate stock availability and shortages effectively to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure compliance with company safety standards and OHS regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of all receiving activities and prepare reports on inventory levels and discrepancies for senior management.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in inventory management or a similar role.
- Leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of stock control, quality control, and health and safety regulations.
- Proficient in Excel and data analysis.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective time management skills.
