Job Advert Summary    

• An opportunity has arisen for a Store Supervisor responsible to control and review the tyre bay stock of several workshops/contracts. Monitors tyre wear on prime movers and trailers and instructs on changing. Supervises and controls activities of Tyre Bay Assistants (tyre pressure) and related administration. Performs tyre audits in region.  Controls movement of stock and supervises the clerical aspects of the stores documentation function. Reviews records compiled for ordering, shipped and received materials. Assesses stock supply and re-order status. Verifies requisitions for additional stock items, utilising the appropriate forms.

Minimum Requirements    

• Diploma / NQF level 6, Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4
•  Up to 3 years’ experience
•  Own reliable vehicle and valid drivers license (compulsory)

Duties & Responsibilities  

• Supervising Storeman, fitters and maintenance staff and daily activities
•  Evaluating and reporting on stock movement as per daily requirements
•  Coordinating the receipt, storage, packing and timely delivery of goods and materials
•  Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels
•  Checking, processing and filing relevant documentation
•  Ensuring adherence to housekeeping and maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations
•  Performing a daily inspection of the yard, tyre maintenance area, fitting tools and consumables
•  Coordinating workshop management and ops staff on fleet available for inspection. – Liaising with other departments and customers • Organise the weekly tyre scrapping meeting and documents
•  Coordinate with service provider to remove scrap tyres of site.
