Job Description

• We are seeking a reliable and experienced Storeman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management of materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring accurate stock control, safe storage practices, and timely distribution to support operational needs. 

Job Requirements
Skills/Experience and Education:

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience as a Storeman, preferably in the construction or engineering sector.
• Geotechnical drill rigs tools experience (advantage)
• Strong understanding of construction materials, consumables, and tools.
• Computer literacy (MS Office; experience with stock management systems advantageous).
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Good communication, planning, and organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Key Duties / Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and record all deliveries of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Issue and distribute stock to site teams as required.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and update inventory records daily.
• Conduct regular stock counts and report discrepancies.
• Ensure proper storage, labelling, and housekeeping within the store area.
• Manage tool registers and track movement of equipment.
• Arranging transport of spares to sites.
• Control inventory of all geotechnical tools and maintain asset register.
• Assist with procurement requests and follow up on orders when required.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
• Support site teams with urgent material requirements.
• Prepare materials for dispatch or return to suppliers
