Superintendent: Cleansing needed at Nelson Mandela Bay Metro

Qualifications and experience required:

• Secondary education (Grade 12 an added advantage).
• Computer literacy.
• Peace Officer Certificate will be an added advantage.
• Valid Code B driver’s licence.
• Computer literacy.
• Three to four years’ relevant experience.

Key attributes and competencies:

• Bilingualism.
• Good communication/negotiation and supervisory skills.
• Basic report-writing skills.
• Must be physically fit and able-bodied.
• The physical attributes associated with this post necessitate that the incumbent is physically fit and able-bodied to perform the relevant functions, and as such, shortlisted candidates will be required to submit themselves to the Municipal Medical Doctor to be medically examined as part of the selection process.

Job purpose:

• Performing tasks/activities associated with Cleansing Operations pertaining to streets, verges, public open spaces and beaches (where applicable) in a designated district through performance of specific operational functions, community education and awareness campaigns, performance of supervisory and administrative functions supporting accomplishment of service delivery objectives encapsulated in the Development Plan.
