ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • This role is a permanent full-time position.
  • As a superintendent maintenance, you will be responsible role is to manage the day to day maintenance activities of the Trackless Mobile Machines with the focus to minimize downtime, as well as the care of workshops facilities and support equipment, through the direction of a technical support team. .

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Tracks, analyses and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance;
  • Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement;
  • Directs, maintains, and enforces the safety program for the responsible maintenance section;
  • Develops and maintains preventative maintenance programs;
  • Sets priorities for projects and work orders;
  • Ensure compliance to the MHS Act, regulation;
  • Draft, review and maintenance of all identified relevant standards applicable per Operation;
  • Ensure that audit and control processes are in place;
  • Implements programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness, coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in mining of which 3 years should have been as a minimum in the underground sections;

 
Qualifications for this role are:

  • Degree / BTECH / National Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering;
  • Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) Electrical / Mechanical.
