Minimum Requirements

Qualification(s):

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license

Preferably:

• HV Regulations (Modules 1-10)
• Relevant H&S Courses for Supervisors

Experience:

• 6 Years Related Experience in supervising the overall construction activities of Substations

Skills and Competencies

• Basic Computer Literacy.
• MS Office Suite.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Good Communication Skills.
• In depth knowledge and experience on substations.
• ORHVS as an added advantage.

Knowledge:

• Eskom Standards and Specifications relating to Substations.
• OHS Act and Construction Regulations.
• SHEQ Systems.
• Experienced in Substations related activities, example Civils/Building, steel assemble & erection, electrical works, Cabling & Stringing.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising Substation construction activities.
• Plan and schedule activities in line with the contract objectives in co-ordination with the project planner.
• Supervision of team members.
• Accepts responsibility for safety, health, environment and quality compliance.
• Communication.
• Oversee plant, equipment and material requirements.
