About the Role

This highly technical role focuses on the analysis of third-party marketplace data within the Takealot Fulfillment Service (TFS). Utilizing AWS for big data processing and Tableau or Salesforce for visualization, the intern ensures compliance with seller performance metrics. Their insights are critical for mitigating operational risk for external merchants and optimizing the data-driven growth of the marketplace ecosystem.

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • N6 Certificate in Computer Studies / Information Technology / Information Systems

The skills we need:

  • Foundational knowledge in Excel, SQL and Python (or R), suitable for entry-level analytical work.
  • Familiarity with AI Large Language Models (ChatGPT, or similar).

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and interpret SQL-based datasets to identify trends, support decision-making, and solve operational problems.

  • Support, monitor, and enhance existing data pipelines and internal applications, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Design and build intuitive dashboards and reporting solutions for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective data solutions and tools.

A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, or Industrial Engineering is the preferred academic foundation.
