System Analyst – SIOCS (Store Inventory) needed at Cape Union Mart

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a highly skilled System Analyst to join our retail team, specializing inback office systems for store operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in analysing, designing, and implementing solutions to optimize store operations, with a focus on leveraging cloud SaaS and Oracle technologies. The System Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive the implementation of scalable and efficient solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse existing back office systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for system enhancements or new implementations.
• Document and support solutions using cloud SaaS Oracle technologies to support store operations, including inventory management, supply chain, and financial processes.
• Support store stocktake processes including afterhours support
• Conduct system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and provide ongoing support during the implementation phase.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, including user manuals, training materials, and technical specifications.
• Provide technical expertise and support to end-users, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the smooth operation of back office systems.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in retail storeoperations and make recommendations for adoption where applicable.
• Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to manage system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
• Assist in the development and execution of training programs to ensure end-user proficiency with back office systems.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive business growthand operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Proven experience as a System Analyst or similar role, preferably in the retail industry.
• Strong knowledge of back office systems and processes, including inventory management, supply chain, and financial systems.
• Experience with cloud SaaS platforms, would be advantageous
• Proficiency in Oracle database technologies and ERP systems, such as Oracle
• Retail, would be highly beneficial.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate
• business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within tight deadlines.
• Certification in relevant technologies or methodologies (e.g., ITIL, Agile, Six
• Sigma) would be an advantage.
