Purpose Statement

• To execute key accounting functions and provide an accurate financial status of all systems across Capitec.
• To perform daily settlement account reconciliations, ensuring that all uploads of journals are done timeously and correctly, ensuring provisioning is done on a monthly basis as well as the daily settlement of 3rd parties. 
• The System Accountant will also be responsible to analyse, investigate and resolve exceptions raised from the reconciliation process on a daily basis. 
• They will perform Month end tasks and is responsible to report any system errors timeously.

Experience

Minimum:

• 2 3 years reconciliation experience 

Ideal:

• Experience in a Financial Services environment.
• Experience in the banking & insurance environment 

Qualifications (Minimum)

• A relevant qualification in Accounting – Financial Accounting or Finance

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

• Honours Degree in Accounting – Financial Accounting or Finance

Knowledge

Minimum:

• Management of accounts
• Computerised accounting systems and principles (SAP)
• Financial Analysis and interpretation.

Ideal:

• Basic knowledge of SQL would be an advantage.
