What you will do

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy for the Africa region in collaboration with business leaders to address their hiring needs and align with global and regional objectives.
  • Own the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates across various roles and levels, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and best practices alignment.
  • Partner with universities, career forums, and relevant institutions to enhance our employer branding and attract top talent, showcasing our values, culture, and career opportunities.
  • Proactively build and maintain a strong talent pipeline by identifying and engaging potential candidates and nurturing relationships with key talent communities and industry networks.
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders, HR partners, and hiring managers to understand their talent needs and provide strategic guidance on talent acquisition, acting as a trusted advisor and influencer.
  • Leverage country-level knowledge to upskill and enhance the capabilities of the extended talent acquisition team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

You will bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus. Professional certifications such as PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP are a plus.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, preferably in a multinational organization operating in the Africa region.
  • In-depth knowledge of talent acquisition best practices, including sourcing techniques, assessment methods, and employer branding strategies.
  • Strong understanding of the African job market, including cultural nuances, legal requirements, and industry trends.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with business leaders, HR partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and achieve targets in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Fluency in English is required: proficiency in other languages spoken in key markets within the Africa region is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel within the Africa region as needed.
