Key Purpose Statement

  • To proactively source, attract, recruit and onboard talent, ensuring the right person-job fit, through the implementation of talent acquisition processes, thereby enabling the organisation’s strategic objectives.

Talent Acquisition

  • Request approval, as per the Chart of Authority (CoA) to advertise vacancies in region or COF.
  • Advertise vacancies for the region or COF to attract internal and external candidates for approved roles. 
  • Shortlist candidate applications, using the job description to ensure the candidates meets the minimum requirements of the job (taking succession plans into consideration if an internal candidate). 
  • Schedule selection interviews with the recruiting line manager and candidates to further shortlist candidates.
  • Coordinate the process of verifying candidates’ credentials with the external provider to validate submitted personal documentation.
  • Schedule final shortlisted candidates for psychometric assessments, with the assessment provider, to assess candidate’s potential.
  • Schedule psychometric feedback sessions with the recruiting line manager and assessment provider to obtain insights regarding strengths, development opportunities and role-fit.
  • Coordinate the process of booking candidates to undergo entry medical assessments to confirm that the candidate is medically fit for the role. 
  • Obtain approval for the appointment of the successful candidate to ensure governance is maintained.
  • Prepare the take on pack of the selected employees for the line manager to issue.
  • Consolidate and submit all verified take-on documentation to payroll for processing and administration.
  • Coordinate the process of employee onboarding to support he line manager as part of the recruitment process. 
  • Attend onsite engagements at universities to successfully position the employer value proposition externally to attract and retain diverse talent. 
  • Book psychometric feedback sessions with the candidate who has undergone assessments, when requested.
  • Coach line managers to enhance their understanding of talent acquisition processes. 
  • Successfully position the employer value proposition both internally and externally to attract and retain diverse talent.

  • Provide suggestions where improvements can be made to the talent acquisition process to drive continuous improvement.

Governance and compliance of data

  • Submit monthly recharges to the procurement department, as per policy, to process payments of external providers for candidates’ credential checks and psychometric assessments.
  • Prepare supporting talent acquisition documentation for annual audits conducted by external auditors.

Skills, Experience & Education    
Qualifications and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Post graduate HR qualification, or equivalent would be advantageous.
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) would be advantageous.
  • 3-5 years of recruitment experience across a variety of roles and levels.
  • Experience in the FMCG would be advantageous.
