Teacher- Afrikaans FET needed at ADvTECH

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and interactive Afrikaans lessons to FET (Further Education and Training) students
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student growth and development
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to help them improve their language skills
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and the school community

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
• Qualified teacher status (PGCE or equivalent)
• Fluency in Afrikaans and strong proficiency in English
• Experience teaching Afrikaans to FET students
• Knowledge of the South African Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statements (CAPS)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Passion for education and a commitment to student success
