Team Lead – Application Implementation and Support Job at Datacentrix

• MTS’s client in Cape Town (Waterfront) is looking to employ a Team Lead to oversee Application Implementations and Support for internal and external clients. This is a technical role and involves the design and config of Business Applications and Report Designs. Ideally we are looking for candidates from the Freight, Warehouse and Logistics Sector

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• High expertise in Project Management protocols.
• Degree in Business Information Systems or similar.
• Project Management qualification/degree.
• Knowledge in Freight Forwarding Business Applications.
• Knowledge in Transport Management Systems and SQL is a plus.
• Understanding of Finance and related Reporting is a plus.
• Experience in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or Transport Management is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Solutions Teams in their day-to-day prioritization
• Manage Demand Planning with Project teams
• Lead the Design and Configuration of Business Application and Report Designs.
• Manage the end-to-end Implementation process for specific Applications.
• Conduct Pre and Post Go-live Planning, taking charge of Go/No-Go decisions on Deployments.
• Perform Due Diligence as required.
• Oversee system evolution, bug escalations, and resolutions
• Manage communication methods for Evolution, Bug Fixes, Bug tracking, and Release Notifications to relevant stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot production issues and conduct root cause analysis.
• Ensure continuity of interfaces by monitoring the platform.
• Develop and maintain support documentation.
• Gather business requirements from operations and customers.
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements with regional teams and vendors.
• Perform configuration and tests on various software systems.
• Provide pre, current, and post Go-live support
