Job Description
- Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an exciting opportunity in our Production Department. We are looking for talented individual with relevant skills and experience for a Team Leader Site role, which is based in Heidelberg. The successful candidate will report directly to the Unit Manager in Heidelberg.
Key purpose
- To lead, support and develop the Engineering technical team to proactively maintain the utilities equipment and site infrastructure in a cost-effective manner, so that reliability and effectiveness of the Site and Utilities is maximized, and losses and risk are minimized and manage external contractor to ensure safety, quality and reliability of work performed in utilities and site.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Monitor and control equipment and processes (syrup room, water treatment plant, CO2 facilities, refrigeration, Effluent plant, boiler house, air compressors, Water Reticulation, Electrical reticulation, site).
- Plan and ensure that equipment is maintained.
- Plan, delegate and monitor work activities.
- Provide building maintenance and support.
- Provide technical support service.
- Manage projects.
- Maintain SHE regulations and standards.
- Solve situational problems.
- Adhere to the procurement policy.
- Manage the processes effectively: Maintain vs replace.
- Manage the spares required, by monitoring cost vs reliability.
- Conduct risk assessments on non-routine tasks.
- Maintain and monitor the suppliers required for services.
Daily Routines
- Compile and update work instructions.
- Refurbish equipment and engineering materials
- Formulate and control the budget.
- Managed own development and performance.
- Conduct Audits.
- Bottling principles and industry/manufacturing knowledge
- Monitor and maintain building/site maintenance principles.
- Adhere to the company labour relations practices.
- Communicate manufacturing information on an ongoing basis.
- Control the usage of raw materials.
- Manage continuous improvement projects
People Management
- Develop and monitor team goals.
- Support, guide and coach team members.
- Manage team relationships.
Skills, Experience & Education
- A minimum of a Matric and 3-year technical tertiary qualification (Qualified artisan).
- 3 years generic technical and 2 years leadership experience in a FMCG environment
- Sufficient knowledge of construction (minimum 2 years) to be appointed as a supervisor of building work.
- Experience with SHEQ and site fire protection.
- Experience with managing projects.
- Experience with budget preparation and control.
