What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
- As the Technical Buyer, you will provide procurement support to your division, manage the request for quotations processes, and participate in supplier selection. You’ll ensure that all goods and services purchased are in accordance with purchase requisitions and from approved vendors, negotiating contracts to achieve business savings. You will prepare compliant purchase orders and assist in sourcing products and services, evaluating new vendors to meet the department’s savings plan. Your role involves maintaining professional relationships with suppliers, monitoring market trends, and ensuring that all purchase orders are processed timely and filed for easy access.

What you’ll need
- To succeed in this role, you will need a relevant manufacturing or engineering diploma or degree. Certifications in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management would be highly advantageous. You should have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Technical Buyer within the engineering/fabrication sector. You possess excellent communication and negotiation skills.
