Technician: Construction and Forestry – Kuruman needed at Senwes

Job Responsibilities:

Diagnostics and Inspection:

• Perform all electronic diagnostics using Service Advisor and special tools for John Deere and other construction and forestry equipment.
• Conduct mechanical and visual diagnostics including preventative inspections, maintenance, services, and repairs.

Repairs and Maintenance:

• Timely and effective repair of identified problems from diagnostics and inspections.
• Generate pick slips for the correct part selection and conduct warranty repairs as required.
• Provide field services and repairs on John Deere and other farming equipment using special tools.
• Maintain a clean work area, minimizing spills, grease, and debris.
• Return unused parts to the Spares department and tools to the tool room.
• Follow all company and dealer policies and regulations.

Customer Service:

• Maintain positive communication and relationships with relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and brand representation.

Training and Ad-Hoc Functions:

• Attend all company and external training activities, demonstrating learned skills.
• Assist with ad-hoc tasks from management related to job cards or machinery in the workshop.
• Provide in-house training and on-the-job training as required.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• National Senior Certificate.
• Completed Trade Test Certificate (Tractor, Motor, or Diesel).

Experience:

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in earth-moving equipment and forestry equipment.
