• Clover is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible to effectively execute all maintenance and repairs to plant services. This exciting opportunity is based at the Clover Clayville branch. 

Requirements

• Matric
• Millwright Trade tested
• National Diploma in mechanical or electrical Engineering
• 5 Years maintenance experience in services equipment listed above
• Computer literacy (Advanced)
• Understanding of technical drawings and technical guides.
• Must be able to think analytically and should have problem solving skills.
• Must be able to function under pressure.
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and public holidays when required (Utility shutdowns takes place on Sundays once a month and it is required for this position to be present.

Duties and Responsibilities
The effective execution of all maintenance and repairs to plant services, including:

• All refrigeration services
• Boilers and steam reticulation & consumption
• Electrical reticulation (HT & LT) & consumption
• Compressors and compressed air services/reticulation
• General building maintenance
• Water services & consumption
• Roads & perimeter fencing
• Cold room racking
• Factory ventilation
• Air conditioning services
• Production floors & drainage
• Storm water and sewerage lines
• Site ablution facilities
• Services workshop
• Maintenance Technician will be accountable for al services millwrights, handymen and general workers (i.e. direct reporting to the Technician). Maintenance Technician will be actively involved in all maintenance/service tasks, closely working with agents to always ensure equipment standards and supplier maintenance conformance.
• Maintenance Technician will be accountable for the services and utilities budgets
• Maintenance Technician will be required to actively assist millwrights on standby and be available during monthly utility shutdowns happening on Sundays
• Work according to Clover’s SHE procedures.
• Actively seeking ways to improve utility performance of site.
• Perform HAZOP and RCM analysis for all equipment ensuring optimal maintenance on equipment.
• Do fault finding on failures and below par plant performance.
• Do fault finding and take corrective action.
• Do reparation based on "Best Practices" 5’S and GMP.
• Ensure job cards are completed accurately and submitted daily.
• Ensure timesheets are completed and approved daily.
• 2IC in absence of Maintenance Manager - Services.
