Technician needed at AECI Limited

Required outputs: Functional

• Do installations and maintenance services on our existing dosing equipment (Electrical & Mechanical)
• Provide guidance and recommendations for the installations of new dosing equipment
• Advice on better and more efficient technology for our dosing stations
• Work closely with service specialist to ensure proper maintenance of AECI resources
• Response to call outs and standby duties
• Safety Inspections – PTRA’s and House keeping
• Maintain workshop Tools and Equipment
• Maintain good housekeeping at the workshop and at the plant
• Comply with governance and compliance policies and procedures, work within established policies, systems, procedures, processes and practices
• Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards
• Ensure safety and health, sustainability and quality standards are maintained
• Be prepared to work overtime or respond to call-outs if and when required
• Maintain buildings and yard lights
• Earth leakage Inspections

Qualifications and expertise required (Must)

• Matric/Grade 12.
• Trade Tested (Eletro-mech, boiler maker or equivalent)
• Computer literate: MS Word, MS Excel
• Ability to concentrate for long periods during repetitive work
• Ability to act quickly when problems arise
• Awareness of health, safety and environmental issues
• Capacity to maintain performance levels in stressful environment
