Job Description:

• We’re Hiring: Senior Java Developer (Hybrid | 1-Year Contract | Sandton)
• Are you a skilled Senior Java Developer ready to lead and shape the evolution of key technology assets in a fast-paced, enterprise environment?

• You’ll take ownership, influence technical direction, and deliver robust, scalable code across complex systems and multiple domains.

What Youll Do:

• Lead and take accountability for the evolution and health of multiple tech assets.
• Play a leadership role in the Centre of Excellence and squad initiatives.
• Participate actively in all Agile ceremonies and drive delivery excellence.
• Develop and maintain high-quality solutions using:
• Java JEE, Spring Boot
• RESTful APIs
• Angular/React
• DataPower, multiple backends
• GitHub, SonarLint, SonarCloud
• Deliver according to agreed timelines.
• Proactively raise risks or blockers and communicate clearly within the team.

Must-Have Experience:

• Strong hands-on development background in Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid experience with frontend frameworks (Angular/React).
• Proven track record in enterprise-level banking/financial services environments.
• Experience working with complex architectures and backend integrations.
• Familiarity with DevOps tooling, including GitHub, SonarLint, and SonarCloud.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and delivery practices.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to AI or modern automation tools.
• Familiarity with API gateways and DataPower.
