Job Description
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Parkerising – Ensure that the parkerising bath is operating as per the documented work instructions
• Perform the parkerising process on items as per the specified requirements
• Lifting Operations and General
• Operating sideloader and forklift up until 15 Ton
• Operate crane to move items in the QC area
• Ensure the QC area is clean and tidy at all times
• Move items to the next operation when required
• Ensure items are placed in a safe manner on the inspection racks
• Ensure that all lifting equipment is in a good serviceable condition
• Perform material identification painting on material after incoming inspection
• Clean and preserve QC inspection gauges
• Wirebrushing flanges on DBM pipes
• Stamping of jobs (traceability)

QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Grade 12

EXPERIENCE:

Essential:  

• Previous experience of basic and power tools.  
• Competent in lifting operations

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:  

• Knowledge of safe operations of basic hand and power tools, manufacturing and / heavy engineering experience, organized, accurate, good time management skills.
