MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3 years job related experience (Technical Quality Risk, Industry and LTOs).
- Minimum requirement of Industrial/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent qualification(s)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience of 17020 quality management of Industrial type of activities (e.g. Pressure equipment)
- ISO 17020, ISO 17025 able to conduct internal audits, to maintain certifications.
- Host and engage with external auditors appropriately.
- Total Quality Management (TQM) NQF6 certificate or similar.
- Lean Six Sigma knowledge will be advantageous.
- Advanced knowledge of ISO 9001, and exposure to ISO 17020, 17025 and ISO 17065 is an advantage,
- Experience in engineering or manufacturing industries with exposure to Operations in an international environment is an advantage,
- Environmental and legal requirements with OSH
- Able to carry out and coordinate Quality Incident and Root Cause Analysis,
- Able to carry out several tasks concurrently and deliver timely,
- Teamwork & Communication: fluent in English oral and written, open to support others, Open mind and willing to learning new skills,
- Proficiency in using computer (usual MS suite: Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook…), experience in writing procedures or reports is an advantage.
- Valid driver’s licence.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Accountabilities
District animation
- Coordination of the engagement committee.
- Coordination of the impartiality committee.
- Ensure the ionizing radiation self-assessment is completed yearly.
- Validation of personnel qualification work instructions, equipment and technical software for the execution of services through support of subject matter experts.
- Support and animation of network of technical specialists regarding technical matter, methods, tools and performance.
- Definition, implementation and measurement of actions to improve performance through the operational excellence initiatives from the Group, Africa and local entities.
Management system
- Producing an annual audit schedule which will ensure all disciplines are periodically audited throughout the year in accordance with all internal and external standards.
- Maintaining records of all audits carried out, corrective/preventative actions identified and measures taken.
- Development, review and management of all quality forms and documents, to support external accreditations and the specific needs of the business.
- Track and report required TQR KPI’s (in i-evaluate, NEXUS and TRACMAP tools and monthly reports)
- Develop or update necessary local procedures to comply with applicable requirements.
- Lead or maintain the ISO 17020, ISO 17021, ISO 17025 and SANAS accreditation certifications.
- Maintain and improve the 17020 and 9001 management systems of IND Division.
- Facilitate internal and external audits related to IND Division accreditations.
- Fulfil the role of Quality Manager and Nominated Representative for SANAS 17020 accreditation for IND Division.
Prevention
- Ensure that calibration and routine maintenance of test equipment is carried out.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis, propose corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with industry and laboratories, including routine meetings and quality audits according to the audit schedule.
- Investigate and efficiently manage any complaints received within the complaints management process; report findings to the management team and implement any enhanced processes.
Performance Measures (KPI’s)
- Cost of poor quality: number of quality incidents.
- Cost of poor quality: closure rate of nonconformities.
- Risk: number of overdue findings.
- Quality response: number of overdue incidents actions.
- Cost of poor quality: number of reports modified after issuance (due to internal error).
- Quality response: Net Promoter Score (NPS).
- Risk: number of valid LTOs
- Risk: number of complete risk assessments (quality and impartiality).
- Qualifications: number of completed training.
- Qualifications: number of completed mentoring.
- Qualifications: number of completed Supervisions/Assessments.
Technical Quality and Risk Management Responsibilities
- Ensuring the integration of the QHSSE management system requirements into the organization’s business processes.
- Ensuring that the QHSSE management system achieves its intended outcome(s).
- Directing and supporting persons to contribute to the effectiveness of the QHSSE Management System.
- Promoting continual improvement using Scorecards.
- Supporting other relevant management roles to demonstrate their leadership as it applies to their areas of responsibility.
- Ensuring that arrangements done for effective consultation and participation of employees.
- Ensuring that customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
- Making sure that the risks/impacts and opportunities that can affect conformity services and the ability to enhance customer satisfaction are determined and addressed.
- Guaranteeing the focus on enhancing customer satisfaction is maintained.
