BASIC SALARY R 222 423.00 – R 277 776.36 per annum

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 10 or equivalent;
• Valid Driver’s License code EC1 with PrDP; and
• 1-year relevant work experience.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

• Drive and maintain tractors and other equipment;
• Operate tractors safely and efficiently;
• Inspect tractors and attachments, such as graders and plows, and ensure they are well-lubricated;
• Use tractors to transport materials and manoeuvre equipment;
• Use tractors with laser levelling equipment to prepare fields;
• Report any issues or concerns to the Manager and other relevant staff;
• Stay alert while driving and maintaining the tractor, and always follow speed limits;
• Perform minor repairs on tractors and equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cut grass at sport facilities with tractor drawn slasher;
• Spread topsoil for turf rehabilitation using pay loader tractor and drag mat;
• Rehabilitate sport fields using tractor- drawn verticutter;
• Rehabilitate sport fields using tractor-drawn hollow Tiner;
• Scarify sport fields using tractor- drawn scarifier
