- RCL FOODS is on the hunt for Trade Marketing Co-ordinators who have a passion for building collaborative relationships and driving brilliance. The roles will report into the Trade Marketing Manager and will be based in 1 x Pretoria and 1 x Limpopo (Nelspruit, Polokwane and Tzaneen).
- The incumbents will be responsible to support the Trade Marketing Manager in delivery of administration, analytics and Go-To-Market initiatives to achieve profit objectives. Accountable for gathering, compiling and analysing customer, shopper and channel performance, trends and competitive intelligence. To engage with key internal stakeholders to ensure execution excellence through all key Demand Functions.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric with related Business and/or Marketing Diploma or Degree an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in related FMCG environment.
- Solid experience with relevant software applications.
- Driver’s license.
- Must have own vehicle.
- Exposure to trade engagement and collaboration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Marketing management principles and practices.
- Consumer behaviour.
- Competitor products.
- Collaboration and a team player.
Duties & Responsibilities
Shopper Engagement:
- Execute & track channel strategies as per plan.
- Co-ordinate regular training sessions with promoters.
- Co-ordinate activation schedules for both instore and Gig Rigs with sales teams.
- Execute & track shopper engagement plan to support innovation launches, weekly.
- Track adherence to all apparel in line with brand strategy.
- Track & monitor ROI tool to assess effectiveness of all activations, monthly.
- Implement & report monthly on innovative engagements and activations that have enhanced shopper switching.
- Collate shopper insights gathered from all activations and propose action plans.
- Clean and analyse data and communicate with sales operations on implementation of initiatives.
- Provide detailed and precise reports to illustrate trends, predictions, and relevant strategies by analysing and interpreting key data.
- Production of reports, presentations and other items deemed necessary to support the sales teams.
Store Visibility:
- Monthly tracking of GT store branding per sales region.
- Execute & track MT instore POS placement, relevant for channel.
- Brief GT POS placement to sales teams.
- Provide insights on ROI across all activities and make recommendations for improvements.
- Analyse shelf health, product availability (DOD), shopper insights and planograms (perfect store).
Product visibility at point of purchase:
- Co-ordinate briefing sessions with internal sales team and merchandising partners in line with business objectives, on a quarterly basis.
- Monitor merchandising guidelines adherence per channel/account.
- Provide regular training sessions on product knowledge and handling of product with internal & external stakeholders.
- Execute Scorecard trackers of merchandising partners performance.
Brand and Sales Support:
- Brief external partners to execute trade shows and other customer activities in line with brand strategy.
- Plan & support the Customer VIP Day across bakeries.
- Track trade spend and propose cost saving initiatives.
- Support sales region’s micro marketing plan implementation & track budget.
