About the Role

This high-RPM role manages regional trade data and ensures 100% compliance with Coty’s global brand and merchandising standards. Utilizing SAP for supply chain orchestration and HubSpot for marketing analytics, the specialist minimizes operational risk in retail execution. Their role leverages data-driven insights to optimize point-of-sale performance and ensures the commercial success of the group’s international beauty portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • The Trade Marketing Specialist will provide administrative and technical support to the Africa Distributor Market (ADM) team. They will assist distributor partners to develop, compile, and execute in-market trade marketing plans that align with COTY ADM initiatives and strategic objectives. This role serves as a key support function within the broader ADM Marketing team, ensuring all distributor partners are properly equipped to deliver agreed plans while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams across the ADM business unit, including marketing, sales, demand planning and finance.

Your main areas of responsibility will include the following:

  • Request and manage in market trade plans, updates, and consolidation.
  • Engage with ADM distributors to refine trade marketing animation proposals for Trade Marketing Manager review.
  • Manage distribution of Merchandising Guidelines/Toolkits.
  • Compile and deploy TPR presentations and track results.
  • Distribution and collation of non-NPD and all set forecasts and supporting presentations.
  • COTY E&O list distribution and collation of orders.
  • Engage ADM distributors monthly to obtain animation feedback reports.
  • Ad hoc projects related to Trade Marketing may be added to your duties dependent on business needs.

YOU ARE A COTY FIT 

You have a passion for beauty! As a Trade Marketing Specialist, you will develop multi-tasking skills and get energy from working in a fast-paced, diverse and international environment. Other than that, you:

  • Have at least 3-5 years of experience in trade marketing management
  • Have a degree or diploma in marketing or similar tertiary education
  • Have proven ability to drive retail success of a brand/product
  • Managed marketing budgets
  • Have experience with luxury products.  fragrance, colour and skincare are an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the market and understanding lifestyle category and market segments
  • Have strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Have a good command of the English language

Salary & Financial Insight
