Trailer Technician Job at Talented Recruitment Specialists

• A leading global company based in Markman, Port Elizabeth is looking for a skilled and reliable Trailer Technician to join their team!
• The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, maintaining and repairing trailers, diagnosing faults, and ensuring all work meets company standards, legal requirements and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect trailers for safety, wear and compliance
• Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Repair and replace brakes, axles, bearings suspension systems and couplings
• Diagnose and repair faults i.e. Trailer lights, wiring and brake system.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records
• Ensure all work meets safety standards and legal requirements.
• Attending of breakdowns on the road and follow up on repairs.

Requirements:

• Experience in Trucks / trailers in the fuel industry, Semi / Drawbar trailers.
• Proven experience as a Trailer Technician.
• Valid code 8 license (Code 14 Advantageous).
• Strong fault finding and problem solving skills.
• Awareness of minimizing downtime and cost effective repairs.
