Trainee Miller (Temporary) – Gqeberha Mill needed at PepsiCo

Responsibilities

Job Overview:

• To run and utilize the machine according to its specifications to reach daily production targets. To maintain good GMP practices and keep machinery clean.
• Compiled mill grist & controlled product quality parameters and compiled milling and packaging plan.
• Controlled wheat intake & milling processes.
• Controlled raw material & finished stock levels & rotation.
• Optimised people, mill, machinery and equipment – also maintained the mill, machinery and   equipment.
• Ensured safety, health, hygiene and pest management and managed team.
• Excel in Wheat Milling, both practically and academically.
• Production maintenance and mechanical/technical basics.
• Fault finding and adjustments to ensure product within spec.
• Maintain 6S
• Takes responsibility for safety, quality, delivery and performance on the mill.
• Understanding true efficiency and Material efficiency.
• Adhere to GMP standards.
• Adhere to safety regulations.
• Optimization of machines and equipment.
• House keeping.
• Adhere to all related procedures.
• Reporting any deviations on the machine to Miller or Head Miller/Production Manager.

Qualifications

• Matric, Technical Qualification will be advantageous.
• Computer Skills.
• Comply and adhere to quality systems (GMP, HACCP, FSSC).
• Monitor and ensure that all required documentation is completed as per standard.
• Continually seek to identify opportunities for cost saving and more effective ways of carrying out production activities.
• Analyze performance and seek ways to continually improve.
