About the Role

This role focuses on the high-volume administration of patient data and managing the technical documentation for renal treatments. Utilizing Oracle for financial records and ServiceNow for service requests, the administrator ensures compliance with medical billing and corporate governance. Their work reduces operational risk through accurate record-keeping and ensuring that billing and insurance data are precisely maintained for the Goodwood unit.

Requirements and Experience

  • Grade 12 level of numeracy and literacy.
  • A Minimum of 2 years experience within a similar role.
  • Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required.
  • Computer literacy essential (MS Office).

Key Performance Areas (KPA)

  • Ensure all patient administration is effectively completed per company deadlines and policies.
  • Ensure that all financial policies and procedures are followed daily in the unit, i.e., confirmations, billing, private patients, stock, waste, etc.
  • Ensure that the unit follows the relevant HR and payroll processes daily.
  • Ensure all unit administration is effectively completed per company deadlines and policies.
  • Ensure efficient customer service by maintaining proactive and effective communication with stakeholders and interdepartmental staff to maintain optimal service delivery standards.
  • Make sure that all staff are trained and educated about the Administration function in the unit and that your related knowledge is constantly updated.
  • Demonstrate the National Renal Care Values and Caring the NRC Way.

Career Growth & Education

A Senior Certificate and 1-2 years of experience in healthcare administration or finance are the standard requirements. Career pathways lead to Unit Leader or Regional Admin Coordinator roles for those who demonstrate strong organizational and leadership skills. Participating in specialized workshops on digital administration and healthcare finance through professional platforms provides a path to senior corporate roles.
