Job Purpose:

  • To perform comprehensive VDA 6.3/6.8 audits across suppliers and sub-suppliers, ensuring adherence to quality, traceability, logistics, and production planning standards in the automotive sector. The role involves identifying process gaps, advising on corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with OEM-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct internal and external VDA 6.3/6.8 process audits across manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and maintenance
  • Evaluate suppliers’ compliance with OEM rules regarding:
  • FIFO (First-In, First-Out)
  • Traceability systems
  • Raw material planning
  • Critical raw material risk assessments
  • Perform SAP ERP system checks and integration, focusing on supply chain planning and data traceability.
  • Assess and report on production planning feasibility and warehouse space sufficiency for minimum stock level requirements.
  • Create detailed audit reports and lead follow-up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Provide input into the continuous improvement of supply chain and manufacturing processes.
  • Support supplier development initiatives and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams including Quality, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Procurement.

Minimum Requirements:

  • VDA 6.3/6.8 Certified Process Auditor
  • 8+ years of experience in automotive supply chain, manufacturing, or quality auditing
  • Strong understanding of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ERP systems, especially in logistics and planning modules
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 70%)

Desirable Skills:

  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt)
  • Fluent in English and German (advantageous)
  • Familiarity with OEM-specific requirements for material and production planning
  • Experience working with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers

Soft Skills:

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Independent, reliable, and self-driven
  • Capable of managing multiple audits and deadlines simultaneously
  • Effective communicator with both technical and executive-level stakeholders
