Warehouse Manager needed at Amaro Foods

PURPOSE 

• Responsible for the overall management of the warehouse function, ensuring that all goods are received and dispatched efficiently to and from the warehouse in line with the identified regulatory requirements and effectively managing the team. 

KEY PERFOMANCE OUTPUTS

• Assist General Management in compiling data for annual budgets
• Deliver efficiencies to support year on year operational budget reduction
• Manage warehouse in compliance with the company’s policies and vision
• Ensure goods are picked and packed per customer requirements
• Oversee warehousing and distribution
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
• Report on procedures and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report, sell by date report)
• Maintain stock control and reconcile with data storage system
• Maintain minimum stock holding levels
• Ensure proper stock rotation
• Maintain stock loading turnaround time
• Ensure stock movement is maintained on the applicable system
• Lead, coach and motivate employees
• Build team philosophy and cultivate a team atmosphere by working with the team to achieve the company’s targets and objectives
• Planning, managing and adjusting staffing levels to meet daily operational requirements within the warehouse
• Comply with the necessary Occupational Health and Safety requirements
• Ensure compliance to all food safety regulations, allergen control, housekeeping and pest control
• Participate in personal hygiene checks

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• National Diploma in Logistics or Warehousing
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in warehouse management
• Strong stock control management
• Thorough understanding of warehousing
