RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sports Coordination & Administration

• Develop and implement a strategic sports plan for middle school.
• Organize fixtures, tournaments, and sports festivals in collaboration with other schools and leagues.
• Maintain accurate sports calendars and communicate updates via school platforms (e.g., D6, Google Calendar).
• Manage logistics: transport bookings, equipment, and venue arrangements.
• Collect and track data for house points, results, and awards.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health standards during sports activities.

Coaching & Student Development

• Provide hands-on coaching for selected sports teams.
• Support coaches with training and development opportunities.
• Promote participation and teamwork among students.
• Assist in designing and implementing a dynamic Physical Education program.

Communication & Liaison

• Act as the primary contact for parents regarding sports events.
• Coordinate with teachers, coaches, and grounds staff for smooth operations.
• Prepare and distribute letters, alerts, and team lists promptly.

Marketing & Events Support (Optional/Secondary)

• Capture and share sports event highlights for school marketing.
• Assist with school functions and parent engagement activities.

Teaching Responsibilities (Limited Role)

• Teach Physical Education classes as scheduled.
• Contribute to student well-being through active participation in the academic environment.

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

• Minimum – Matric.
• Ideal – Degree/Diploma in Sports Science or Education.

Experience:

• Minimum – 2 years in sports coordination or coaching.
• Ideal – 3+ years.

Skills:

• Strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills.

Legal:

• Valid Driver’s License with PDP.

Other:

• Computer literacy.
• Ability to work evenings/weekends for events.
