Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Ensure that the PSD workshop adheres to Epiroc (the way we do things), SHEQ standards, PSD procedures and complying with all legal and other requirements.
- Perform and Document incoming inspections of Foreign Articles and ensure that Epiroc equipment conform to SHEQ and OEM requirements and other specifications (e.g., Customer, etc.).
- Review and register failure reports for records and distribute the reports with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure pre-testing, witnessing, and stripping of warranty claimed components is done as per Process requirements.
- Ensure all stakeholders involved are notified of stripping and evaluating of Warranty claim component.
- Register and generate QCP on Share Drive.
- Request approvals of QA Documentation when required.
- Liaise with all Stakeholders for completion of related quality control activities, products, and services.
- Preparation of QA Documentation for data books and/or records.
- Perform final inspection and release of PDI and repaired Epiroc equipment.
- Archiving of collected and reviewed QA Documentation of PDI and repaired Epiroc equipment, where there are no customer requirements, for record keeping and follow up if required.
- Compiling of QA Data books to meet customer requirements (e.g., Internal, and external).
- Ensuring calibration of equipment are up to date
- Support SHEQ Department where needed to comply with all ISO, Group, Legal and other requirements.
- Lean methodology
- Compiling Technician Job Packs
- Expedite Invoices and Dispatch Confirming on BPCS
- Expedite Spares and spares discrepancies
- Assisting with E-Purchase Documents
- Assisting with Quoting to the customer
- Assisting with Machine Dispatching
- Scanning in all documentation into Job Files
- Compiling Hard copy job files for Achieve
- All Admin requirements
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma/Equivalent Qualifications
- Qualified Artisan (Mechanical)
- Welding Inspector or equivalent (preferred)
Required skills, capabilities, and experience
- 5-7 years minimum (direct working experience) in similar role
- Experience in the hydraulics, drivetrain and components assembly will be an advantage
- Good Math and Technical skills
- Strong understanding of Quality Control standards and principles
- Ability to work with people at various levels from shop floor to executive level
- Must have the client’s best interests at heart
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Work, Excel, and Projects
- Safety and Quality efficiency focused
- Analytical skills capable to identify Non-Conforming Products
- Direct knowledge of ISO 9001 systems
- Strong quantitative and critical thinking skills
- Excellent conflict resolution skills, diplomacy and tact
- Persuasive motivational and persistent
- Understanding/Direct knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing Fundamentals (NDT)
