Purpose

  • To provide specialist digital advice and support related to the design and development of all digital media via various channels, through the execution of predefined objectives as per agreed standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital Media Strategy: Collaborate with internal teams to understand business goals and execute digital media strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Content Creation: Develop and design engaging digital media content (graphics, videos, animations) for websites, social media, email marketing, and other digital channels.
  • Channel Management: Manage digital media assets across platforms (social media, websites, email, etc.) and ensure consistent brand messaging and design.
  • Campaign Execution: Support the creation and implementation of digital marketing campaigns, including tracking and reporting on performance metrics to optimize content and strategy.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all digital media content adheres to brand guidelines and SOPs, delivering high-quality output on time.
  • Technology and Trends: Stay updated with the latest trends in digital media, design tools, and emerging technologies to continuously improve digital assets.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, communications, and IT teams to ensure seamless execution of digital initiatives and projects.

Key Skills

  • Strong knowledge of digital media design and development principles.
  • Proficiency in design software and video editing tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.

Minimum Experience

  • 2 – 3 years experience in a similar environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas [NQF Level 07] in Marketing or related field. 

Process

  • Consult with stakeholders to develop and implement business related marketing collateral (print and digital material).
  • Organise group-wide campaigns to inspire digital thinking and innovation.
  • Own the creation and prioritisation of the product backlog for specific digital products.
  • Accountable for the execution of specialised work including the improvement of quality, standards and outputs within defined work routines and operating procedures.
  • Proactively solves problems, determines root-cause and applies solutions in line with guidelines and providing the necessary information to solve problems related to area of specialisation.
  • Plan for own task execution and advises on improvements related to area of specialisation.

Customer

  • Build an appreciation of stakeholder needs, ensure understanding and designs digital tools and enhancements to improve overall customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure own understanding and adherence to customer service delivery and Treating the Customer Fairly (TCF) principles to provide specialist support and guidance.

Finance

  • Adhere to specified standards, policies and procedures to prevent potential losses/wastage related to the area of specialisation.

Learning and Growth

  • Interact proactively with others for the purpose of continuous knowledge sharing; and integration of own new knowledge.
  • Contribute positively to own area-specific knowledge improvement associated with area of specialisation.

Governance

  • Comply to set governance and compliance procedures and processes related to an area of work and continuously identify, rectify and escalate risks where necessary.
