WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Providing high technical expertise in the area of troubleshooting, process knowledge, technical incidents, operation and maintenance for Pyro & Ferrous, through site visits and using Digital and Remote services (i.e. Augmented Reality)
- Specializing to own technology areas to provide expertise support in site operations and technology related incidents and inquiries or problems
- Participating in technical warranty claim or customer complaint handling
- Act as a trainer for internal/external technical trainings, for products
- Expertise support for problem management, technical sales support, R&D and product development
- Support IB (Installed Base) Validation
- CTO (Configure to Order) and ETO (Engineered to Order) quotation development through solution definition and technical research; inspection report reviews, recommendations and solution as requested
- Supporting Field Services with Technical information/details
- Supporting the sales process and assisting with the technical information flow and part numbers
- Assisting with developing and influencing and negotiations when required
- Support overall sales funnel development
- Ensure timely progress of sales cases throughout the different phases
- Travelling throughout Africa and globally to support sales activities, problem determination, product training, etc. on a case-by-case basis
- Support sales team and SAM (Site Account Manager) with the best technical solutions for the customer with spare parts and promote modernisation & upgrade
- Load all required info and drawings on SF (Sales Force) opportunities
- Work closely with PL (Product Line) for support, needed information and training
- Support Customer RFQ’s and provide correct part numbers
- Review pricing on spares quotations
- Support expert services and proposals
- Customer site visit and inspections with SAM to support opportunities and build relation & sales pipeline
- Weekly regional sales calls to support OR and sales planning
- Review SF Opportunities 2-3 monthly and update on a regular basis
- Work on upside / back up opportunities to bring them forward into forecast
- Review sales history and identify hi-value repeatable sales opportunities
- Customer site visit planning and support
WHO YOU ARE
- Matric (Grade 12)
- B Tech / BSc / BEng Metallurgical / Process Engineering, with a minimum of 5 year’s field experience in Process Equipment or,
- Must have Sales experience
- Experience of applications in minerals processing
- Must have up to date understanding & knowledge as a technical product specialist
- Understanding and experience of sales and financials
- Familiarity with a broad range of Minerals Processing Equipment
- Familiar with the core processes of the sales process
- Experience in complex relationships
- Advanced verbal and writing skills
- Computer literacy and MS Office Skills are an inherent requirement
