We are looking for a dedicated E-commerce Listing Assistant to join our dynamic marketing team based in Cape Town.
- As the E-commerce Listings Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our listings team, working in the listings team. You will support the creation, optimisation, and management of product listings across our platforms, ensuring content is accurate, engaging, and up to industry standards. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining our listing workflows and managing content storage.
Minimum Requirements
- 1+ years’ experience in e-commerce, product listings, digital marketing, or a related field.
- Strong command of the English language, with excellent writing and proofreading skills.
- Strong organisational skills, with an eye for detail and a methodical approach to managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Advanced PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and basic familiarity with design tools such as Photoshop.
- Familiarity with WordPress, content management systems (CMS), and SEO best practices.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and handle a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, energetic attitude.
- Comfortable with learning and using new software systems and project management tools (e.g., Monday.com).
- Proficiency or interest in combining copywriting techniques with AI prompt engineering.
- Ensure that published listings maintain the essence of Syntech’s brand voice.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Listings Team with creating, updating, and managing product listings on Syntech’s website and retail partner platforms.
- Ensure product content, descriptions, images, and attributes meet minimum quality standards and SEO requirements.
- Upload and update product images and graphics, working closely with design teams and partner brands when necessary.
- Keep product content and assets updated on SharePoint, ensuring taxonomy standards are met at all times.
- Collaborate with the Retail team to maintain and edit listings for partner retailers, ensuring consistency and quality across platforms.
- Assist with the management of Syntech’s WordPress sites, maintaining product, brand, and sale pages as needed.
- Ensure all product listings meet the deadline requirements, aligned with priority.
- Monitor and maintain SEO scores for all product listings, ensuring they meet the “Very Good” rating threshold.
- Ensure banners and featured products on Syntech’s website are up-to-date and refreshed according to deadlines.
- Assist in processing website queries, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Assist with ad hoc department projects as needed.
- Assist with external content partners as needed.
