Assistant Boilermaking needed at Gold One Group Limited

Qualifying Criteria:

• Grade10, 11, 12 or equivalent qualification
• Proficient in English and any other of the 11 official languages
• Knowledge in Boilermaking will be advantageous
• 1-2 years’ experience in Boilermaking in a mining or industrialized environment is essential and required
• Must be able to work at heights and confined spaces
• Applicant must possess good verbal communication skills.
• South African Citizenship
• Clear Criminal Record

Responsibilities:

• Work a cycle or rotation of shifts
• Assist Artisan(s) in carrying out their duties efficiently by providing support and carrying tool box, hand tools and other equipment
• Maintain tools, equipment and safely keep hand tools
• Perform duties tasked to them and any other related duties within the Boilermaker Shop
• Responsible for good housekeeping in and around the working place
• Manage and maintain in area of responsibility in accordance with mine standards, procedures and practices
• Adhere to MHSA standards & Gold1’s safety motto : “Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely”
