Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to support business objectives and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Lead the end-to-end procurement cycle, from supplier sourcing and selection to negotiation, contracting, and performance management, securing optimal terms and value for the company.
- Analyse internal procurement data and external market conditions to forecast future procurement needs and budgetary requirements.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and logistics, to identify procurement needs and requirements.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering partnerships based on trust, transparency, and mutual benefit.
- Host periodic business reviews with critical suppliers to discuss performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor market trends and industry dynamics to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and supply chain optimization.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers, evaluating their performance against key metrics and KPIs.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Integrate sustainability and ethical considerations into procurement policies and practices, ensuring Ecowize’s procurement activities contribute positively to environmental and social goals.
Requirements :
- Degree in Supply Chain / Procurement / Chemical Engineering / Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management is required, emphasizing strategic sourcing, supplier management, and sourcing expertise. Experience in indirect procurement functions will also be considered, highlighting a broad understanding of procurement strategies across various categories.
- Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings and process improvements in a procurement environment.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to drive favourable outcomes in complex contractual negotiations.
- Excellent analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, Inventory Management (understanding demand planning, forecasting, SMOG analysis, etc.) knowledge of CRM and Order Management – SAGE/Granite reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Inspire and lead the procurement team by setting clear goals, providing ongoing coaching, and fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and ethical conduct.
