Description

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Undertakes the summons serving function.
  • Maintains and updates local and foreign (other council areas outside Durban Metro area countrywide) computerised summons and warrants of arrest register.
  • Attends to summons and warrant of arrest related telephonic and public counter queries / enquiries.
  • Maintains the summonses and warrants of arrest filling system.
  • Undertakes the control of warrants of arrest function.
  • Controls and ensures the security of warrants of arrest.
  • Prepares warrants of arrest received for investigation and forward acknowledgement or receipt notices of received warrants to other external councils (countrywide).
  • Investigates and redirects warrants of arrest returned by South African Police Services.
  • Undertakes word processing.
  • Undertakes the process serving function.
  • Attends to the requisitioning and controlling of office stationery, cleaning materials and other office requirements.

Essential Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
  • 2 Years relevant experience.
  • Computer Literacy.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) and an Administrative Certificate.
  • 3 Years relevant experience.
